OUR GETAWAY HOUSE EXPERIENCE

Hey ya'll! I know you have all been waiting for it, and now I have it just for you! As you probably know, thanks to Getaway House, Alec and I spent last weekend in a cabin in the Catskills. We drove up on a Friday and spent Saturday and Sunday relaxing without any interference from the outside world. Below is more information about Getaway House and our experience:

Getaway house is a company that has created luxury cabins in 8 different location across America with the mission to build the balance into modern life of taking the time to rest and unplug from the daily hustle and focus on ourselves, our relationships and the wonders of nature. When invited to stay with them, Alec and I:

1. Booked an outpost, cabin size and picked a date to stay
2. Received a text about 3 days prior with our cabin name and key code for our cabin
3. Emailed their team with additional questions and received quick responses
4. Our only responsibility while we were the was to look away from our phone and enjoy quiet time in nature.

What is included in the cabin:

1. An extremely comfortable queen bed with fresh linens and pillows
2. A fire pit, grilling gate, and outdoor picnic table and chairs. There's firewood and fire starters for purchase to heat things up.
3. A kitchen with a sink, mini fridge, stove with all your basic cooking supplies
4. Snacks to purchase
5. A bathroom with a toilet, a shower and shower supplies
6. A lock box for your phones incase you decide to truly put the out of sight and out of mind for your trip!

Our cabins name was Freida and when we first got there, she opened her doors with open arms. We slept well, read, hung out, ate, made a campfire, toasted marshmallows and truly enjoyed each others company.
